Disrupt Greece, the new innovation-related institution launched by Fortune,
Industry Disruptors and Papastratos, focuses on entrepreneurship, the teams and their people. Eleven startups made it to the big final of the competition, on June 29, at the ‘Destination Papastratos’ multi-purpose venue. All of the eleven finalists gained access to services worth €70,000, while the first three teams won money prizes worth a total of €30,000.
The big winner of the contest was Owiwi, the company that aims to ‘disrupt’ the selection of staff. Owiwi won €15,000.
Mermix, the platform that is based on the logic of the sharing economy and provides solutions to young farmers who wish to engage seriously with the sector, came second and won €10,000.
In third place was hopwave, the company that helps travellers organize 1-day cruises and excursions with small fishing boats or wooden so-called ‘pirate’ boats. The company won €5,000.
