Eos is a Humanoid Robot. Her name comes from Greek mythology. Specifically, Eos is a Greek Titaness and the goddess of dawn, who rose each morning from her home at the edge of Oceanus. She is the daughter of Hyperion and Theia; Her siblings are Helios and Selene.
She belongs to the Hyperion Robotics family. Hyperion Robotics is the robotics team from the University of Western Macedonia. It was founded in 2014 by undergraduate students. Its objective is the participation in competitions
and offering young people the opportunity to expand their horizons through research in robotics and robotic systems in general, but also to give solutions to many contemporary problems that our society faces. Furthermore, the team participated two times in Word
Robot Olympiads representing Greece. One of the highlights of the team was when the Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and the Federation of Hellenic Information Technology & Communications Enterprises (SEPE) presented us with an award us at the Digital Economy Forum in 2016.
