VP of Business Development, EMEA, Intralot

Antonis has more than 15 years of working experience, most of which within senior and executive roles in Strategy and Business Development. Specialties include strategic planning, P&L business ownership, operations and budget management, business development and sales, product marketing, C-level executive relationship creation and development and team leadership.
He has a strong technical background, with more than 25 scientific publications and a PhD in Telecom sector. After his long experience in the management of European Research projects, moved into the corporate business and specifically in Sales/Business Development (velti.com).
Serving for 2.5 years as Special Secretary of Digital Planning under Ministry of Development, the main responsibility was the management of a 1,5 billion€ fund formulating the Digital Strategy of the country including the roadmap of e-government services in public sector, next generation infrastructures (Cloud DC, Next Generation Broadband Networks), and private investments (Grants, Loans, Equity Funds) with a special focus on the composition of the Greek Tech Start-up ecosystem through the Jeremie equity funds initiative.
Following that, Antonis as a Managing Director of a multinational company (Intralot.com) expanded the capacity and ability to ensure P&L Management and M&A activities in the assigned region (Oceania).
Currently, as the VP for Business Development in Europe and Africa, for Intralot, targets more in the development, implementation and successful execution of strategies to grow the business in green fields but also through existing key customers promoting company’s product and strategy for a B2B & B2C, retail and online operations.
While evolving into the corporate environment, maintains a strong relationship with the Hellenic startup ecosystem being a mentor in several organizations like Founder Institute (fi.co/s/athens) and member in others like Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) genglobal.org.
Antonis holds a PhD. in Electrical & Computer Engineering, NTUA, Athens.
